GlamR Treatment Aftercare

At GlamR we pride ourselves in our knowledge for not only every treatment we offer but the aftercare too. With our treatments you will receive our tailored to you aftercare card and access to our aftercare webpage, in order to maintain and get the best out of your GlamR treatment.

Facial Aftercare

  • Avoid applying any makeup on skin for the first 12h of treatment

  • Avoid using any exfoliator on skin for first 7 days of treatment

  • Avoid sunlight or the use of sunbeds or any heat treatment for the first 5 days of treatment

  • Use a good moisturiser and SPF (factor 30+) for the first 4-6 days after treatment

  • Only apply products reccommended by your therapist

  • Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a facial

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol

  • Drink plenty of water (we recommend 6-8 glasses per day)

  • Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face. To prevent loss of moisture, protect the skin from make-up and to keep the skin soft and supple

  • Do not apply perfume or perfumed products to treated area within 48 hours of having a facial

  • By committing to regular facial treatments you will receive the best results

Waxing Aftercare

  • Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction for the first 24-48h after your treatment

  • No sauna, massage or steam treatments for the first 24-48h after your treatment

  • Wear clean, loose fitted clothing

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tan)

  • No hot baths or showers (use lukewarm water)

  • Avoid working out or swimming

  • Only apply products recommended by your therapist

  • Avoid touching or scratching the waxed with unclean hands 

  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions

  • Exfoliate in circular motions in the waxed area regularly after 24h of your treatment

  • Only apply products recommended by your therapist

  • By committing to regular waxing treatments you will receive the best results

Massage Aftercare

  • Drink plenty of water after your massage to increase blood circulation 

  • Avoid alcoholic, caffeinated and fizz drinks Consuming any of these can slow the healing process and can add toxins to your body

  • Avoid strenuous activities for the first 12h of treatment

  • Avoid hot baths or showers for the first 12h of treatment

  • Simply breathe and relax

  • Take it easy for the rest of the day, if you can you should have a nap to reset your body

  • Relieve pain after intense massages by using an ice pack or running a warm bath and follow above steps

  • Only apply products recommended by your therapist
